Pilar Rico is a commercial and documentary editor based in New York City. She has worked for production companies and post-houses such as FluidNY, DIRECTV, Vice, Transient Pictures, Pleasant Post, Ntropic, After All, Jackson Films, Hero Studios or Eyepop Productions, and for agencies like J. Walter Thompson, Wunderman, Saatchi & Saatchi LA, and Mother NY. In 2014 she edited the feature documentary GRAZERS: A COOPERATIVE STORY by award winning directors Lisa F. Jackson and Sarah Teale, which premiere at DOC NYC. Most recently, Pilar edited the feature documentary by Eddie Rosenstein THE FREEDOM TO MARRY, winner of Best Editing and Best Documentary Film at Savannah Film Festival.
Outside the edit room, Pilar has worked as director, producer and cameraperson in several films in Spain and America such as WELCOME TO THE WORLD, GREEN CARD or PLAYING GOODBYE.
Pilar is currently finishing the editing of her third documentary feature, PATRIMONIO by Lisa F. Jackson and Sarah Teale, and she is open to new projects and opportunities.
